How to Report a Pakistan Phone Number for Spam or Fraud

A community report, a telecom complaint and a cybercrime complaint serve different purposes. Choose the right channel and keep the right evidence.

First, choose the right reporting channel

A Caller.pk report helps other people understand a number through moderated community experiences. It does not open a police investigation, reverse a transaction or automatically disconnect a SIM. If you need official action, use the appropriate authority or provider as well.

PTA operates a Complaint Management System for telecom complaints. NCCIA lists its official complaint portal for cybercrime complaints. If money or account access is involved, contact your bank or wallet provider using a trusted channel rather than waiting for a public report to be reviewed.

How to submit a number report on Caller.pk

Open Report a number, enter the number and check that the displayed number is the one you intend to report. Choose the category that best describes your experience, add a concise account of the interaction, and submit it. Reports enter moderation rather than appearing instantly.

Use the full Pakistani number. Mobile numbers, supported landlines, area-qualified UANs, toll-free numbers and supported short codes can be handled by the current number system. A report cannot identify a withheld caller when no usable number was supplied.

  • Confirm the number before writing your report.
  • Choose the closest category rather than selecting the most alarming label.
  • Describe the request or behaviour you personally experienced.
  • Remove private information and submit once for moderation.

Write a report that a moderator can assess

A useful report answers three questions: what did the caller claim, what did they ask you to do, and what happened next? For example: “The caller claimed to represent my bank and asked me to read out a login code. I ended the call without sharing it.” This is an illustrative description, not an allegation about a real number.

Avoid conclusions you cannot support, such as naming a private person as the operator of a scam. Separate the caller’s claim from what you independently know. If you did not answer the call, say so; a missed call alone does not establish fraud.

Keep screenshots and transaction references for the appropriate private reporting channel. Do not include CNIC numbers, passwords, OTPs, full account details or unrelated people’s information in a public report.

What happens after submission?

Moderation determines whether a report is suitable for publication. Approval can contribute to the number’s report information; a pending submission is not an approved public warning. Submitting repeatedly is not a way to accelerate review and can create unnecessary noise.

Caller.pk keeps identity and reputation separate. A business may have a verified identity and approved reports at the same time. A report does not automatically erase that identity, and identity verification does not cancel the report.

If the incident involved money or account access

Contact your provider promptly through its official app, the number printed on your card or another independently checked channel. Explain what information or access was shared and ask what protective steps are available. Do not send a second payment to someone promising recovery.

For suspected cybercrime, use NCCIA’s official complaint route and keep your supporting material private. Official forms may require personal details; that is different from publishing those details in a community report. Caller.pk cannot promise a refund, an investigation outcome or a particular moderation timeline.
